Hello

I live in South Surrey, BC with my husband. My sons have their own families now, and I have four grandchildrenHaving stopped teaching, I now find a channel for my imagination through my grandchildren, who in turn never cease to amaze me with their creativity.  Besides playing with these four bundles of fun, I like to play pickleball.

My Story

I was born in Bedfordshire, England, and have one older brother. We moved a few times due to my dad's work. We went from Bedfordshire to Somerset, back to Bedfordshire, North Wales, back to Bedfordshire and finally settled in Leicestershire when I was nine. I continued to live there until I left for college at eighteen to train as a teacher.

Following college, I went to Ontario, Canada to work as a nanny for one year. After returning to England, I worked in a motorbike shop (despite knowing nothing about motorbikes. I didn't look bad in a leather jacket though!) and then as a caring assistant in a senior's home before getting the job of teacher at a private school in Surrey.

When I married my Canadian husband, we went to live in Lesotho, Africa, where I taught. My first son, James, was born there. After three years, we returned to England, where my second son, Simon, was born. After about a year and a half, we went to Germany because of my husband's work. While there, I volunteered in running the International Kindergruppe in Darmstadt. We stayed there for three years. On returning to England, I taught at the same private school that I had previously taught at. Finally, my family and I made the move to BC, Canada in 1998.

I taught happily for some years in the Delta School District until I decided it was time for something new. Now I enjoy doing all the things I didn't have enough time for when I was teaching.
